I'm Gary — the person who answers the phone, gives you the quote, drives the van, and washes your car. No call centres. No franchise scripts. No unreliable subcontractors. Just me, my kit, and an almost unhealthy obsession with paintwork.

I built Home Car Valeting Manchester on one simple idea: your time is more valuable than a trip to the car wash. I arrive with my own water tank, my own power, pressure washer, steamer, machine polisher and everything else I need. You don't move your car. You don't lift a finger. You just come back to it looking better than you remember it ever looking.

I cover most of South Manchester and out as far as Alderley Edge, Glossop and Whaley Bridge. Everything from a 90-minute mini valet up to multi-day paint correction and full ceramic protection. Whatever your car, whatever its condition — I'll treat it like it's mine.

Answered upfront.

A valet is maintenance — cleaning the car to look great day-to-day. Wash, hoover, wipe, wax. Usually 90 minutes to 3 hours. A detail is correction and protection — actually improving the paintwork and interior beyond "clean". Machine polishing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, deep leather and fabric restoration. A full detail is typically a 1–2 day job. Valet = keep it looking good. Detail = make it look new.

I use trade-grade products — Autoglym Professional, Koch Chemie, Gyeon, Bilt Hamber, Meguiar's Professional range. Everything pH-neutral where it touches paint. Ceramic coatings when I fit them are Gyeon-approved. I don't use anything I wouldn't put on my own car. Happy to talk through specifics on any job if you want particular products (or want to avoid any fragrances/allergens).

Rough guide: Mini valet 60–90 mins. Full valet 3–4 hours. Interior deep clean 3–5 hours depending on condition. Exterior detail 4–6 hours. Full detailing package 1–2 days (sometimes 3 for heavy paint correction + ceramic). I'll give you a realistic time when I quote so you can plan your day — and I always leave a proper buffer for unexpected extras.

No. I'm a proper mobile operation — I carry my own water tank, my own battery power for machine polishers and vacuums, and my own pressure washer. I don't need to plug into anything. If you live in a flat, work in an office car park, or don't have an outside tap, that's genuinely fine — I'll still do the job. I do appreciate being able to plug in occasionally for longer detailing jobs, but it's never a dealbreaker.

Yes — most of my customers are on a regular rhythm. Common ones: mini valet every 2 weeks, full valet monthly, seasonal detail every 6 months. I'll hold a recurring slot for you so you don't have to think about rebooking, and I'll message you a day or two ahead to confirm. Regular customers also get priority if we need to reschedule for weather.

Prices vary by vehicle size and condition, but rough bands for guidance: mini valet from around £35, full valet from around £70, interior deep clean from around £120, exterior detail from around £180, full detailing package from around £400, scratch removal from £50 depending on severity. Larger vehicles (SUVs, vans, 7-seaters) and heavily soiled interiors cost a bit more. Call me with the make, model and what you want doing — I'll give you a fixed quote on the phone, no surprises.
